Debug Code
Epona under the ground
Gameshark Codes
It still amazes me the amount of glitches that this game still manages to propagate. The only reasoning I can see behind their discovery is that the game is so vast and complicated that the programmers couldn't account for "all possible scenarios" a gamer could encounter during gameplay. I know Nintendo tests these things before they're intoduced to the market, but no amount of game testers can truly accomplish what the general public (millions of gamers) can find. Perhaps if more laborious time was taken on the game then these glitches wouldn't be here, but then again how would we feel if Zelda 64 wasn't coming out until this year. Would we have waited that long? It raises some questions. Would we have waited for better graphics, no bugs, more Hyrule, and a possible alternate "Triforce" quest? Perhaps. Would Nintendo wait considering they could lose a drastic market share of Christmas shopping dollars to Sony, the answer is self evident. Glitches or no glitches I still think Zelda 64 is the best game to come out of Nintendo, and if they made more quality games like it they wouldn't be just a caterer to the kiddie market. Well, I'll let Vampire Arthur supply another interesting glitch to try in your game.
You have to be adult Link, enter Lon Lon Ranch *without* Epona, now walk to the wide area past the house and the stable, play Epona's song, the horse will come out of nowhere inside the fenced area and start running toward the fence, she wont get to you cause she'll keep running through the fence, when she stops running, enter any of the 3 rooms in the ranch; the house, the stable or the small room with the cows, get out again, go inside the fenced area and you'll find Epona stuck UNDER the floor!! She can't walk or get out of there, even if you play Epona's song. And she'll stay there even if you get out of the ranch and get back in... heck it even stays there if you save and turn the N64 off!!
You can get Epona back easily by playing Epona's song in Hyrule Field... you can do this trick at any time of the day... I've done it like five times and it worked every time, just make sure that you go into the ranch without the horse.. if it didn't work the first time and you want to try again, get out of the ranch to Hyrule Field, play Epona's song, don't ride on it, just enter the ranch on foot and try again, it could be done in some other ways, but it's better if you follow my steps above the first time, then you can try your creative skills :) .... it looks cool once you do it... good luck!

Debug code
When the programers are making the game, they need to know what's happenning in the "back" of the game, so if there is an error, they can fix it. Sounds logical. The guy from the Oddysey of Hyrule (an excellent Zelda site, if not one of the best) has somehow obtained the code so you can see the Debuger of Zelda64, like the programmers do! Only 30 persons in the world know this code, and now you are gonna know it! It's cool uh? :)The name of the code is Video Gamer X's Code, in honor to the first guy that find it. Here's how to accomplish:
» Start a game in the temple of time, Then Gently and SLOWLY pull up on the left side of the game pak, like you did in CROOKED CARTRIDGE. If you do it slow enough, the computer will become lagged and link will jump all over the screen and the sound will become very corrupted. If you let this happen for a few seconds (you may have to try to move link (or what used to be link) around, the n64's processor will become lagged and the game will lock up. ( This is going to be a diffrent lockup then usual, as you will see in the screenshots) - there is going to be a small-yellow-bar that will appear in the top left of the screen..... » When you get the small yellow bar to appear there are some commands that you need to input on the controller to get the "Debug" code to appear on the screen (this will also show the release date for the game you have...... )
Follow these steps: L button + R button + Z button Control pad UP + "C" DOWN "C" UP + Control pad DOWN Control pad LEFT + "C" button left "C" RIGHT + Control pad RIGHT A button + B button + Start Button
WARNING! WARNING! AND WARNING AGAIN!: I do not reccommend doing this trick on your only Zelda 64 game because it has the potential of ruining it. If you have the extra money to buy an extra cartridge to try this then try it out. Otherwise STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! This trick may potentially Damage your game Permanently! Do not cry to me saying you broke your game, because you have been warned. Otherwise have fun reprogramming the game. This could be the ultimate user power trip if adequately mastered. This one is brought to you by the MK Demon.
I started up Zelda with my GS in place, and the codes "Black Tunic" and "Hold L for inf. rise" on. I was playing through, and I decided to try "Video Gamer X's code" with the Gameshark in the N64. In the temple of time, I pulled up on the cartridge, reviewed the text, and shut the game off. I proceeded to take the GameShark out of the system and turn Zelda back on. What I found was an erased game. Damn! I shouted! Damn you you stupid cartridge! But, I had been warned of the hazards of using this brute force trick. I calmed down and started up the newly blank game. To my absolute amazement, Link was wearing a BLACK TUNIC!!! I did a double take, turning to my cartridge slot, and made sure the GameShark wasn't in there. It seems that the GameShark, when used in conjuction with the crooked cartridge trick, can actually change the game's code PERMANENTLY! Also interesting was the fact that Link's tunic was only black in the game slot which was erased. Could this interesting trick lead to bigger and better things?
Long live the Odyssey...
Hmm...very interesing, (Video Gamer X stroking chin) this has to be THE CODE for Type A personalities that say that they can do whatever the hell they want when they want it. (Not like the gameshark doesn't do that anyway, but this one allows you to alter the actual cart itself, without any kind of fancy equipment to decompile the ROM Data) This could mean that any trick done with the gameshark could be made permanent on a new game slot. Indeed, very interesting... Good find there gamer. I have to admit I haven't tried this trick because it has the potential of damaging the game irreprebly, and I don't want to do that to this one. I have "busted" games before (actually took 'em apart) but there's no way this is going to happen with my Zelda 64. Remember the warning, and don't do this trick unless you have nothing to lose.

All Lon Lon Ranch Nude!
This page is where the code came from https://www.angelfire.com/va/zeldascastle/index.html
Note: This code doesn't work, I'm sorry
least wanted code: This is a disgusting code! ITs a code to get all of Lon Lon Ranch naked! If your curious enough to try..hehe ur gross! I am not going to post any pics on my page but i will send you yo Zelda64gld's page! Thanks Zelda64gld for the informationMany gamers have alerted me that you have a joke about the so called, "Lon Lon Ranch nude code" on your Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time web-site. Because you have this on your site, I believe that it is best to alert you first of the actual existence of this code in real life. Let me tell you an interesting story: Towards the end of the completion of Zelda 64, disgruntled programmers at Nintendo were about to be fired because they were delaying the Zelda 5 project. They knew they were finished as programmers and decided to try to screw Nintendo over by putting nudity in the game. Scrambling frantically, they put in a complex code to make everything at Lon Lon ranch naked. Unfortunately, it was missed before zelda 5 was released, and wasn't detected until about a month ago. Various people asked us how to do the Lon Lon Ranch nude code, seen on your site. Investigating, we found this code deep in the programming. Rather than have it slip out, as it will surely be detected soon, we have decided to release it publicly. Do not try this if you are sensitive, as it is extremely disturbing. Here is the full code:
1. Go to Koroki Village as an adult. 2. Chop down every plant except for the ones in the training ground. 3. Go to Lon Lon Ranch. 4. Talk to Malon. 5. Aggravate the cuccos with Din's Fire. 6. Call Epona. 7. Get on her and ride all the way to Lake Hylia, without stopping. 8. Get off Epona. 9. Go fishing. 10. Catch a fish less than 5 pounds. 11. Go to Zora's Domain. 12. Go into Zora's Fountain. 13. Go all the way up to the top of the cave under the boulder. 14. Release a blue fire of the edge, so that it falls down to the ground. 15. Jump off the edge of the cave. 16. Warp to the graveyard. 17. Enter the cave with the torches. 18. Stand in the center platform. 19. Play Zelda's Lullaby. 20. Release another blue fire in the center platform. 21. Walk into the graveyard. 22. Pull back all the gravestones. 23. Go into Dampé's hut. 24. Read his diary. 25. Leave. 26. Go into Kakariko village. 27. Go into the room below the windmill. 28. Play the Song of Storms in front of that guy. 29. Leave the windmill. 30. Go into the House of Skulltula. 31. Talk to the center spider or guy (depending on how many Golden Skulltulas you've killed). 32. Leave Kakariko Village. 33. Go to the Temple of Time. 34. Turn into a kid. 35. Leave the Temple of Time. 36. In Hyrule market, go Bombchu Bowling, and play until you win twice. 37. Leave the Bomchu Bowling Alley. 38. Walk all the way through the alley, starting at the end near The Bomchu Bowling Alley. 39. Go into the Treasure Chest Game store. 40. Play the Treasure Chest Game, and win by cheating with the Lens of Truth. 41. Leave the Treasure Chest Game. 42. Sneak into Hyrule Castle. 43. Get thrown out by a guard right after you crawl through that little opening. 44. Outside, get thrown out by another guard. 45 Go back into the market during the night. 46. Play the Sun's Song. 47. Go into the Temple of Time. 48. Travel forward in time. 49. Leave the Temple of Time. 50. Kill all the Re-Dead. 51. Walk to Lon Lon Ranch. 52. Play Malon's obstacle course. 53. Get a time of less than 50 seconds. 54. Leave Lon Lon Ranch. 55. Go to Gerudo Valley. 56. Plunge yourself off into the water. 57. Go back to the Temple of Time. 58. Turn into a kid. 59. Leave the Temple of Time. 60. Go into the Happy Mask Shop. 61. Get the bunny hood. 62. Go into the Temple of Time. 63. Put on the Bunny Hood. 64. Travel forward in time with the Bunny Hood on. 65. Go to Lon Lon Ranch. 66. Play the Song of Time in front of Malon. 67. You will see a cut-scene showing a view of the back of Malon's head and a front view of Link looking at Malon. Link will then faint, followed by about five seconds of black. 68. You will see a small cut scene of Link waking up, upstairs in the bed at Lon-Lon ranch. When you leave the room, you will see that all the chickens inside are featherless and pink. Go outside and you will find that everything is bare. The horses and cows have no hair. And most disturbing of all, Malon, Talon, and Ingo are all naked. They are all anatomically correct. Nintendo is horrified. We apologize immensely for this and will soon issue a public apology. We are absolutely pursuing legal action against the programmers whom caused this. Any Zelda 64 cartridges manufactured after 8/1/99 will be corrected. Until then, production of Zelda 64 will stop. There will be a minor recall on any unsold cartridges. Also, Nintendo will now encourage code testing to all developers for the Nintendo 64. Again, please excuse us and we will not let these errors slip by in the future.
Din's Fire Upgrade:
First, type in your name as Din. Then you must beat the game. You must get 100 skulltulas without the infinite skulltulas trick. Then you must beat the first Ganondorf within a minute. Beat the running dude. Don't use Din's Fire throughout the game! Shoot the light arrow at the stone triforce on top of Zelda's former castle and you'll be warped to the Great Faries Fountain where you got Din's Fire. You will get an upgrade on Din's fire which lets shoot magma out of your palm.
Phantom arrows:
Kill all Big Poes [10] You must have the mirror sheild then you must go to the hunted wasteland show the phantom guide his reflection he will say "im drop dead gorgous", and he dies do not catch him in a bottle talk to the poe hunter in hyrule he say "interesting" and give you a task of retreaving all of his big poes[10] that just escaped retreave them, they are much harder to catch the poe hunter will ask for a another poe, so get one from the graveyrard he will brew something up and gives it to you,[do not do while getting the biggoron sword], it is a potion go sprinkle the potion on the phantom guides spirit and it will turn into phantom arrows!
Horse Upgrades:
First, go to the horseback archery range. Notice there's a posible 2,000 points possible? Of course there would be a prize if you made a perfect score. Play the archery game, and get a score of 2,000 points. You need to make this score three times (Nintendo likes to make things sneaky, don't they?). Not in a row though, it doesn't matter. After that, he'll give you the Silver Sattle for Epona. Your carrots get upgraded, you get more speed for every carrot. With this speed, you'll be able to outrun the runner that hangs out in Gerudo's Valley. If you beat him, he'll give you the Gold Sattle. You will now have infident carrots. With this speed, go to the Lon Lon Ranch. If you play the race, and make it under 35 seconds. you'll win Zelda's Horse, you know, that white cool looking one. With this horse, you can go into temples and caves and stuff like that. However, your horse can't kill those tuff enemies. To kill them, you need the Spiked Horse Shoe. Nice gold look to it. To earn this, you need to find the "11th Poe". This poe will not come out till the other 10 are dead. Cut all the grass down in Hyrule Field (yes, it will take awhile), then go to the three trees by the Castle. Or was it the four trees? 3 or 4, you know that spot. Go kinda in the middle of threes, the poe should come out, kill it. Take it to the poe shop. The guy will give you a card (NOTE: Do not take this card in the progress of earning the Biggoron Sword). Take this card to the archery range. Talk to the woman. She'll take your card, and give you the Spiked Horse Shoe in return. Now Zelda's Horse can fight. Hit down C, and the horse will buck back. Hit top C and Zelda's Horse will raise his/her's font legs and crush the enemy.
